Peaceful Warriors

“It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.”

“It is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.”

Peaceful Warriors is a youth mentorship program that uses project-based learning to teach mindfulness, social and emotional learning, and hands-on skills training.

Our goal is to develop youth into more mindful, resilient and compassionate leaders in their home, school and community.

This year's project is revitalizing a community garden with the student's at the Bergen Family Center in Englewood, NJ.

Your support will help provide the resources to sustain this community garden into a healing space for education and transformation!

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of identifying moment-to-moment self-awareness of our thoughts, allowing us to live in harmony with oneself and with the world.

Studies show that engaging in a regular mindfulness practice provides physical, social, psychological, and academic benefits for students of all ages.

HypeLite incorporates mindfulness as a tool in Peaceful Warriors training to help students grow, thrive, and reach their maximum potential.

What does mindfulness do for us?

  • Increase focus, creativity, memory, attention span, and decision-making abilities

  • Foster compassion and empathy, reduce impulsiveness and aggression

  • Increase ability to learn and memorize, foster resilience and mental toughness

  • Increase self esteem and self security, enhance relationships

  • Improves quality of sleep, boosts our immune system, and promotes healthier choices
